TimeSplitters 4 may not be released
Developer Free Radical Design, currently working on TimeSplitters 4, has lost almost 80% of its workforce since going into administration on 18 December. Unless the company is sold current commissions are unlikely to be released.

PS3 sales ahead of Xbox 360
SCEE’s Dave Reeves has stated to website MVC that the European user base of the Sony PS3 is thousands ahead of the Xbox 360. It looks like the holiday season sales period will be all important this year.

PS3 keypad released late November
According to Eurogamer, the PS3 Wireless Keypad accessory will be released on November 28 for around £24.99. The Wireless Keypad fits on the back of a PS3 Sixaxis or DualShock 3 controller allowing better use of the PS3’s web browser.

MotorStorm released early
MotorStorm Pacific Rift will now be released in Europe on 7 November, a week earlier than its original 14 November date. The game is expected to be one of Sony’s big draws for the PS3 in the run up to Christmas.

RE5 demo due early 2009
According to GamesTM, Capcom is to release a demo of Resident Evil 5 in early 2009. Details are thin on the ground at the moment but we can expect it to be made available for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Smaller, Cheaper PS3 on the way?
A 45nm cell processor was produced by Sony earlier this year and they might include it in the PlayStation 3 sometime during 2009. A smaller chip might mean two things. The first is a cheaper console and the second a smaller console. Remember a similar thing happening with the PS2 a few years back?

Microsoft Cuts XBox 360 Prices in UK
Rumoured price cuts for the Xbox 360 look to be true. Starting this Friday the Xbox 360 consoles will drop to £130 for the Arcade, £170 for the 60GB Premium and £230 for the 120GB Elite.

New 160GB PS3 due October 2008
Sony has confirmed that a 160GB special edition Playstation 3 will be released in Europe this October as a limited edition unit. Exact release date and price to be announced.
